Distinct Report Count

B

Ben

I have produced the following report in Access. The only problem I have is
getting the client count to display correctly. I would like the count to be
the number of clients within the STAFF group. A total client count is then
displayed at the end of the COUNTY group.

Any suggestions on how to proceed would be very gratefully received!

Thanks,
Ben

You need to create a group header/footer at the Staff level in addition to
your county group. However, doing this based on your data sample all Bens
clients will appear under this name giving you a Contact count of 4 (Ben,
Ben, Chris, James). I am a little confused how you determine Client count.

Basically I have the layout sorted and everything displayed EXCEPT the
client count. This count should be the number of individual clients
appearing in each staff group. There is then a total number of individual
clients for each county (ie. all the staff client counts added up).

Taking the staff group 'Ben' below, there were three contacts but only two
clients were seen - one client had two contacts.

What I would like help with is calculating the number of individual/distinct
clients that appear in each staff group.

I hope that makes sense!

Thanks for you help thus far,
Ben
