Dissapointing Menu/Toolbar in .NET Form editor

M

Mad Butch

The menu's and toolbars in the .NET Developer Studio (C++) have a blue rectangle behind them, and the active icon has a shadow beneath it.
I was expecting my applications to look like the developer studio, but the menu and toolbar still look like the ones in the old screen editor (VS6).
So toolbars in my apps don't highlight buttons, and the menu is that ugly dark blue bar.

Is a new version of the Form editor part of the new .NET comming out?
If so, will it have it have these menu's/toolbars?
I would love to see a form editor that had the flexibility to create applications like the new MS C++ editor.
Like dropping windows on tab controllers to add them to it as a new tab, and flexible toolbars that you can move around.

Untill then, can someone point me in a general direction where I could find how to code these things myself?

Hi,

These features should be available in Whidbey. Until then, you can take a
look on commercial and open source 3rd party libraries such as DotNetMagic
or ComponentOne
