displays the wallpaper only and no icons or startbutton

Suddenly everything disappeared from the desktop and only the wallpaper
remained
How can I get the startbutton and the icons back?
 
Wrong place to post your question really being the Access Database forum, but
try this?

Right click on your desktop area. Select "show desktop icons"

Hope this helps????
