displaying the results of a formula

I entered the formula =concatenate(a1,b1) in cell c1 but the formula displays
NOT the result of the formula - I know there has to be an easy fix to this
-but I haven't been able to find it. Help!

What's in cells A1 and B1 and what is the result of the formula?

An alternative to concatenate:

=A1&B1

Hi

Check the format of cell with formula in it - probably it's Text. Change the
format to any other, end re-enter the formula.
