Displaying linked data as zero

In a "daughter" spreadsheet with links to a "parent"
spreadsheet, the daughter cells display the number "zero"
when the parent cells are empty. I would like these
daughter cells to be blank rather than display a zero.
Anyone know how to accomplish that?
