In the old Windows Explorer it used to show you at the bottom of the page,
the total size of all the files in a folder
or drive ... Windows XP Home doesn't seem to do this. Is there anyway to
make it show me the aggregate total for any particular folder or drive?

Thanks ... Michael Mauzey

Michael,

See if this plugin helps: http://markd.mvps.org/

Plugin from http://markd.mvps.org/ adds a FolderSize column in Explorer.
That's not exactly what you wanted, but worth taking a look. I must also
admit that I misread the query :)

Rick,
is there any way to make that stay permanent? Everytime I close Explorer,
it reverts back ...
thanks ... Michael Mauzey

Hi Michael,

Use tools/folder options once you have it setup the way you want. On the
view tab, click "apply to all folders". It will reset all folders to this
view, so any that you have customized previously may need to be redone.

Great idea, but what about when you open the next window
and next window. Not to mention when you close it, it's
gone. WILL NOT STAY!

HELP!
