Displaying dates on Line Chart

I created a line chart in Access which pulls data from a Make Table. The
table has dates and values. Dates on X-axis, Values on Y-axis plotted as a
line chart. The dates on the Access chart do not correspond with the dates
in the Table. For example, if I had the following data in the Table:
Date Value
10/31/2002 100.00
12/31/2002 105.00
06/30/2002 115.00
12/31/2002 120.00
06/30/2003 125.00
12/31/2003 130.00
06/30/2004 135.00
12/31/2004 140.00

The chart may insert dates such as 01/2003, 04/2003, 07/2003, 10/2003, etc.
How do I get the chart to show the exact dates in the table, not random dates?

In Design View, double click on the chart to edit it.
Click on Chart + Chart Options + Axes
Set the X Axes to Category (or is it Automatic? I can never remember.)
