Displayed or printed font size is half the specified size.

When I start a new document, the font size displayed on the screen or on the printed document is half the size specified for the document. For instance, if I specify a 12 pt. font for a document, the font size on the displayed or printed document is about 6 pt. I cannot figure out why or how to change it.

What is the Zoom in the Word window? Do you have any scaling enabled in the
Print dialog (or printer Properties)? If this is Word 2002, do you have
Track Changes enabled?
