Display won't let me use JPEGS as backgrounds on my desktop.

Hi all:

As the topic says, when I go into display under control panel, it won't let
use jpegs as backgrounds for the desktop. I can use bitmaps, but not jpegs.
It will let me select a jpeg but when I click on OK, nothing changes. Any
help would be appreciated.

Display Properties Desktop background tab lists only BMP files

If XP Pro use Group policy.

Allow only bitmapped wallpaper
