Display search window when double clicl on folders

When I double click on folder icon on right hand side of
Widows (2K) Explorer, I get the search window instead of
the listing of its content.

How can I fix this problem.

When this happened to me I reinstalled Windows and that

was how it was resolved. I think I had some major
infection that messed with my registry so bad it was
unrepairable.
