I am working off an existing workbook and trying to do some basic
calcuations. When I type in a formula (=SUM(A1:A2) for example) the cell
displays the formula not the expected result. It seems like the creator of
the file turned off the calculation functionality. How do I turn it back
on??? THANKS!

Hi, Bridget-
It sounds like that cell is formatted as text, instead of formatted at
"General" or a specific number format. If you'll right-click the cell,
select Format Cells from the box that appears, and select the proper
format from the list.
