In the Display Properties, is there a way to disable the
Background selection window from displaying the contents
of the My Pictures folder? Or should I just empty the
folder and store my images elsewhere?

I have tried moving them to a new folder, renaming the
folder, checking the "make folder private" option under
folders, but my pictures still show up under Display
properties...I don't want these to appear as an option
for desktop backgrounds. Any other suggestions?

Hi,

Make sure that the pictures are not present within these folders or
subfolders within them:

C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
C:\WINDOWS\Resources
My Pictures

Create a folder in any location other than the ones mentioned above and put
the pictures over there. They should consequently not appear in the Display
Properties page.
