Display properties settings

What is the name and location of the file in which windows stores display
properties|appearance|advanced appearance info?

Why am I asking? There are 2 users for my laptop. The first has a normal
sized taskbar and a normal sized title bar. The second has a normal sized
taskbar and small title bar. When I enlarge the size of the title bar in the
second, the taskbar also gets enlarged, which is just as impractical as the
small title bar in the un-enlarged version. As I see no independent settings
for title bar and taskbar, I thought perhaps I could copy the relevant file
from user 1 to user 2.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Clem.

Philo:

They *are* using their own separate profiles. In other words, there are two
user accounts on my computer, and the appearance settings I described are
part of the user profiles. However, I would like to copy the appearance
settings (display properties|appearance|advanced appearance) from user one
to user two. How do I do that?

Thanks,

Clem.

Change it from Control Panel> Display> Appearence> Advanced. Drop Down box
to select item to change.

Dear Michael,

Thank you for your response.

Here is the problem:

I am using 2 user accounts on my laptop.

The first user has a normal sized taskbar and a normal sized title bar.

The second user also has a normal sized taskbar, but the title bar is
impractically small . When I enlarge the size of the title bar in the second
user account using the approach you suggest, the title bar becomes
appropriately larger, but the taskbar also gets enlarged, which is just as
impractical as the small title bar in the un-enlarged version.

As I see no independent settings for title bar and taskbar in display
properties | appearance | advanced appearance, I thought perhaps I could
copy the relevant configuration file from user 1 to user 2, or failing that,
change the settings in the registry.

My question is: where is the information stored?

Thank you,

Clem.
