Display problems

Ok,

Well I have tried re-installing drivers. I have tried uninstalling and
reinstalling the graphics card (Nvidia Geforce 4). I have turned the screen
saver off, the power settings off, you name it they are off. Yet if I leave
the computer unattended for a period the screen switches to a mauve colour
( like the one when it is switching to graphics card when you play a game)
and I canot bring it back nto action without re booting.

Any ideas??????????

And what settings do you have in BIOS?

If your WIndows settings are all correct, you should check what you have in
BIOS.
