Good day. I appreciate any help you are willing to provide ... strange thing
happened yesterday on my XP computer ..... my display has gone 90 degrees to
the right!!! Is this just a setting, or is there something more sinister
going on here???

Again, thank you for taking the time to help me today.

Hi

Try this:

Right click the Desktop, select Properties>Settings>Advanced. See if there
is a setting in there to rotate the screen back to normal. If you have
Nvidia software installed try clicking on the tab for your graphics card and
have a look for NVRotate on the left hand side.

If you do have an Nvidia card there may be an icon in the Notification Area.
If so, right click on it, select Rotation Settings and then set it to 0
degrees.

Hey aiza,
Try pressing Ctrl and Alt and the up or down keys on your keyboard. Make
sure you press them together.

Hope this helps
Enjoy your day

Some SVGA drivers, notably forintegrated Intel graphics, have two
accursed "features" that combine to create this crisis:

1) Rotate screen

Can rotate display 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Useful, in that an A4 page
can be better displayed in its entirety if the screen is on its side.

2) Hotkeys

This is the stupid part; obscure keystroke combinations such as
Ctl+Alt+K may cause (1) to take place immediately, without any "is
this what you want?" cool-off/time-out a la other on-the-fly display
changes. Play a game with Ctl and Alt as Jump and Shoot, and it's
only a matter oftime before this bites you in the ass.

There will be a SysTray icon, and also some sort of presence in
Control Panel. Find these, undo the rotate, and kill the hotkeys.
