Display name change in Outlook 2003

I like my emails to show only the person's name when I send an email. To do
this, of course, I go into my Contacts and edit the display name, eliminating
the email address.

Today when I hot synced my Sony Clie for some reason all of my hard work had
be revereded and every one of my Contacts now display the person's name and
email address.

I was in the tedious process of editing each Contact one by one when I
though there just might be a way to tell Outlook do format the "Display as"
box to eliminate the email address.

I would be greatful to discover there is a way.

Please, any of you Outlook Gurus out there, let me know.

Thank you.
