I want to enter the following number in Excel and have it display as entered:
6030530010000005693.
However, it only displays as 6.030530E+18 or as 6030530010000000000 in
number format. To have it display properly, it seems I have to enter a quote
in front of it: '6030530010000005693
Do I have to enter numbers of this length with a quote in front of it or is
there another method?
I also tried to apply the function =TEXT(A1,â€0â€) to the number
6030530010000000000 and 6.030530E+18 so you don’t have to enter the ‘ before
the number but it didn’t work. I also tried the formula
=TEXT(A10,"0000000000000000000")
My research indicates that it doesn’t display the entire number due to the
limit of the standard column width. However, I changed the standard width to
3 times the default size and the number still did not display.
Thanks,
Michelle
