Display an OLE object in a form

O

OLE Object

Hi,

Some time ago I wrote a databse for some vehicle
enthusiast friends, originally in Access 97.

I just converted it to Access 2000, added some extra
functionality and now they can display a photograph with
each vehicle record.

I developed the updated version on a Windows 2000 PC and
the OLE object inserts and displays correctly.

However, I need to run the application on a Windows XP
machine, and I'm having a problem with the OLE object
display.

In Form view, I can insert an image into the Bound Object
Frame, but it becomes a Package Object and only displays
the image name. To view the image, you have to double
click and it diplays in the Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer.

This isn't what I want, so can someone tell me what I did
wrong, please?

Thanks.

To follow up, I now just converted the database to Access
2002 format, but I'm still getting the file name in my
Bound Object Frame instead of the image itself.

Don't worry, I resolved the issue using code, but I
preferred the way it worked previously.
