In the Calendar view at the top of the NAVAGATION PANE there is a calendar
for the current month. I would like to display 2 calendars. Current month
and previous month.

How much stuff do you have in the navigation pane? The number of navigation
calendars is dependant on the space available - remove the views, collapse
the calendar groups, increase the window height.

In addition to what Diane said, you can also widen the Navigation Pane to
allow more Date Navigators (the little month calendars) to display.
