Disk Read Error - I know the problem - I need a solution

First of all, let me make this clear - THIS IS NOT A HARD DRIVE ERROR - MY
HARD DRIVE IS WORKING. Now that that's over with: OK, so I run (or ran)
Windows Vista Ultimate with Windows BitLocker. I was doing some partitioning
and accidentally switched the active partition from the BitLocker one to the
partition with Windows on it, not realizing what would happen. Now every time
I start my computer it says "A disk read error has occurred - Press Ctrl,
Alt, Del to restart." What I want to know is - is there a way to get inside
the hard drive and switch back to the BitLocker partition or just to disable
BitLocker at all. If neither of those are possible, is it possible to get
into the hard drive to back up my important files so I can do a reinstall? If
none of those are possible are there any more options for me or will I have
to lose everything that isn't saved on my zip drive?

If you are "certain" that the only problem is that you changed active
partitions, you can boot up with an Acronis Recovery CD containing Acronis
Disk Director and choose which partition you want to be active and visible.
This is the partition that the computer will boot from. If it still doesn't
boot, you did more damage than you think you did.
