Disk Defragmenter

Brian

I am currently having difficulties running Disk
Defragmenter and Norton Speed Disk since these programs
go hand in hand.

When I run Norton Speed Disk, I get this messenge:

"An unexpected error occured while communciating with
the Speed Disk service (NOPDB.EXE). Pleaser exit Speed
Disk, restart the Speed Disk service and try again. If
the problem persist, re-install Speed Disk." (I tried
restarting the service, but does not work nor does re-
installing Speed Disk alone)

When I run Windows XP's Disk Defragmenter, I get this
messenge:

"Disk Defragmenter could not start."

Any suggestions?

Brian

defragmentation needs 15% free space to run and it is
good idea to get in habit of 'routine of running'
chkdsk.exe/checkdisk/first
then defrag
then delete temp files and cookies
and should keep your disk clean and org'd
and take it fr there

hth God Bless hutch
