disk defragment

When I try and access my disk defragment I get an error message "windows cannot access the specified device,path, or file. you mahy not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. I am the system adminstrator, and I also tried to run it in safe mode. Can someone please help me.

Hi RJ,

Some 3rd party program or setting is preventing access. Attempting Safe
mode was a good first step.

I recommend trying to run this after disabling Antivirus (as a test) or
under a clean boot.
