DISK CLEANUP

I cannot get disk cleanup to run properly . It starts but
never does anything . It will show three bars
and "stall" . Can anyone help please ! Windows XP prof.

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
