Disk Cleanup

Hello. When I run Disk Cleanup it starts and reaches "Scanning: Compress Old Files", but then never goes any further. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Thanks Michael, I needed the help too. This problem just started after MS
new IE critical download update. Any coincidence? Thanks again, capt
