Disjointed data entry in contact screen

I enter a new contact in Outlook 2003 in the space marked with "Full Name"
next to it. Let's say I enter "Mr. John Doe". When I click the "Full Name"
button to the left, John is displayed as the last name and Doe is displayed
as the first name. In the "file as" space it appears as John, Doe; not Doe,
John. Also, in the email section "display as" space it shows as "doe john
([email protected])". The manual workarounds are rediculous. There has to be an
explanation of why this is happening. I'm hoping there is also a simple
solution to the problem. HELP! What is it?

Probably is.
Did you happen to look at the settings you specified for these fields? Tell
us what they are.

I feel so stupid admitting that the fix was that simple. I don't know why I
didn't realize my error the first time around. Thanks.

Well Outlook has at least a hundred options you need to configure each time
you install it. No once can remember them all.
