Discussion web.. no catalog?

I have a discussion web that when I do a search I receive a page that says
there is no catalog.

I tried this search after I had made a post, which did not show in the
"contents". Anybody now what the problem is?

This usually means that the web server is set up to use the Indexing
Services as the search engine (built into Windows 2000/XP/2003), but a
catalog hasn't been created or associated with the site. Have the server
admin create a catalog for the web site and it should (stress the should)
work correctly. You may need to open the site and perform a Tools |
Recalculate Hyperlinks first in order for it to begin indexing the pages
into the catalog.
