Discussion Post Formating

I have created a discussion web on my family website. The
problem is that the text entered into the comments field
does not keep its formating after posting the artical.
Instead of keeping the carriage returns and the spacing
the posted artical is posted as one long running string.

So when someone enters
"Message"

Love,

Mom

the posted results look like this
"message" Love, Mom

I have checked all the form fields boxs but can not figure
out how to keep the formating, any help on this would be
great. I'm sure im just missing something simple but
could not locate a solution in the help file. Oh yeah im
using Front Page 2002, and the webserver has the 2002
extensions installed.

Thanks,
CaptainWeasel

The lack of formatting is a feature that was removed from the FP2002
extensions.
Your choices are:
Roll back to FP2000 extensions - and suffer the loss of other features.
Use a third party discussion web using ASP, PHP, Perl/CGI or whatever your
host will support.

Or apply a <pre> formatting for the text box

Thanks for the replies, the PRE tag works for the
formating. Although it's a trade off, when useing the PRE
tag the text in the comments box loose the pages theme
when posted. But hey I would rather have the carriage
returns vs the preserved font of the the theme. Lets hope
Microsoft restores this formating feature by default in
the Front Page 2003 server extensions.

Again thanks for the help all,

CaptainWeasel

DOH!!!

Okay im a dork and jumped the gun. The very next step in
the support artical mentioned the effect and what the work
around was. Phew all is well.

Thanks yet again...
