i created a discussion board subweb on my site with
fp2003. There are a couple of posts that i want to
delete, but i can't find them.

I selected option show documents in hidden directories in
the advanced tab of the web site settings dialog box, but
it still isnt showing them.

any ideas?

gracias,

Jelly - Were you able to get past this problem? I'm having the same problem.
I'm able to see the hidden directories but can not see the documents that are
being posted in the _investordisc directory (that is my hidden directory
containing the postings). The application sees the files OK but I can't see
them in FP 2003.

Thanks - Jeff

Hi Jeff,
The message files should be in your _disc1 (or a different number if you
have created more than 1 Discussion Web)
They should be saved as "00000001.htm" ( again this number depends on the
number of message posted)
I suggest you try a search for "00000001" or "000000??.htm" and this should
show you where they are stored

Hi Teriel - First, thanks for your response. I am able to see these files
when I FTP to the server and browse around. I am also able to see them on the
server when I start to publish my local pages however, I am not able to open
them up from the publish screen. Another person I know is able to see them on
his local machine in his page view and is able to read and edit them locally.
I am able to see the hidden directory but when I publish, it seems to be a
one-way publish and not a synchronization. My friend actually downloads these
files when he publishes.
