Adding Discussion Board

How can I add a discussion board to an existing web site. I know I can
create a new discussion web site but I do not need a new entire site.

that function is to create the discussion within it's own web for purposes
of publishing etc.

there's a real simple guest book and discussion board here:
http://www.gurgensvbstuff.com/index.php
they save their data to a plain text file which you can use FrontPage to
mark as "writable".

If your host supports subwebs
Create a folder in your existing web - say: forum
In Folder List
- Right click the new folder and select convert to web (subweb / subsite)
- Double click the new web Folder forum to open it in FP
In the subweb forum, use File New Web / Site and select the Discussion Web template
- follow the wizard
- when done add a link from the subweb home page back to the root web home page
You can publish the DW directly using File Publish Web / Site and entering a subweb url as
http://www/yourmainwebname.com/forum/
