how do you program your modem to automatically read and play a disc? when i
put a disc in the modem it does not do anything. help...

Hi myellowram,

If your enquiry is a serious one, then you misunderstand what a 'modem' is.
This is the definition of a modem :-

"MOdulator, DEModulator. A device that connects your computer to a phone
line in order to communicate with other computers."

Where you put a CD or DVD is called a CD ROM drive/ DVD ROM drive or
rewriter drive.

To make it 'do something' one needs to go to "My Computer" then 'right
click' on the drive and select 'Properties', and in the subsequent dialogue
box (under AUTOPLAY) you have the option to select what action you require,
and then select "Apply" before OK'ing out.
