Disc Defragmenter

I have Windows XP Home Edition. My disc defragmenter was
working until about six months ago. When I try to pull
it up I get a "Action cancelled. Internet Explorer was
unable to link to the web page you requested. The page
might be emporarily unavailable." How do I get it back?

I find it difficult to comprehend how the running of Disk Defragmenter becomes linked with Internet Explorer. The best way forward would seem to be to check that your way of trying to run Disk Defragmenter is correct. Choose any from the three described in the link which follows:
