Disc Cleanup Problem

When I try to run disc cleanup, it says "Calculating and scanning: compress old files" but nothing else happens. My CPU usage also goes to 100% and stays that way even after cancelling the disc cleanup.

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.

Here are two resolutions for your issue:

1. Before you post a question in a newsgroup, read through previous posts to
