disc cleanup freezing

when i try to use the disc cleanup function the system
starts but after about 3 seconds stops .
the computer works fine only i cannot use the discp
cleanup
is there a way to fix this problem ?

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and
answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by right
clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
