I've tried all compact and repair utilities Microsoft
offers and the database file is no longer recognized by
Access 97. Is there any 3rd Party recovery tool or person
who can rebuild a damaged file?

Have you tried the JetComp tool? Importing into a new MDB?
Importing via Excel?

Before you spend any $$$$ try opening a blank DB and importing all the
objects from the corrupt db. it has worked for me in the past.

good luck
