Disappearing window

Lately, I have been having trouble browsing with IE6. On some sites, if I go
to click a link that opens another window, the new window will open
momentarily, then close immediately thereafter! It doesn't happen on every
site (i.e. MS), but on many others. I can't seem to figure out why. I am
running Windows 2000 SP4 and IE6.1 (I think).

Hi,
This sounds like the work of Ad-aware Pro- Adwatch- the "Block pop-ups"
feature. It sometimes allows a window to open momentarily before closing it.

If not caused by Ad-aware, check the settings of any third-party security,
privacy, ad-blocking programs (or toolbars) that are installed. One of them
is probably blocking the new window.
