disappearing start menu programs

Hi,

My Start Menu list of programs in Windows XP seems to
have lost a whole bunch of applications. Is there any way
of resetting the menu so that it reads all the programs
installed on my machine again?

Steve Martin.
 
Windows drops the shortcuts to apps that you haven't used recently. There will
be a down arrow at the bottom to show those buttons.
