Disappearing programs

Programs keep disappearing off my computer! Non essential programs, but ones
that i do use. Such as Microsoft Paint, WordPad, Calculator.. and probably
things I don't even know about yet.. No virus detected, so what's going on
and how do i get them back?

Hard disk developing bad sectors?
