disappearing emails

every message that you reply to or forward to from the
inbox disappears. you can see it in sent items but it is
gone from the inbox. outlook 2002 sp2

Check your "View" setting in Outlook. Most likely you have your View settings set on "Unread
Messages". This option only allows you to view unread messages. When you reply or forward a
message, Outlook changes the message from "read" to "unread", therefore, not allowing you to view it.

Go to the "View" menu, then to "Current View" and choose "Messages".
In Outlook 2002/2003 - Go to the "View" menu, then to "Arrange by", then to "Current View" and choose
"Messages".
