Disappearing Documents

When working in Word, I may have 4 or 5 documents piled up on the Task bar.
If I click on any of them, suddenly all documents will disappear. Sometimes
all is lost, but sometimes they can be recovered. Does anyone else have this
problem, and if so have they been able to fix it?

Are the documents minimized when you click one and they disappear? If so,

Thank you for your reply. I followed your suggestion and uninstalled
Handwriting Recognition. I then clicked on a Word file in the Task Bar. All
the Word files immediately disappeared. This does not happen every time, but
often enough to be annoying.

Does it only occur when there are two or more documents open? Does it only
occur if the documents are minimized? If so, then verify the Handwriting
Recognition was actually removed.
