While in the middle of typing a 20-page document in Word,
the thing just up & evaporated on me, taking me back to
my desktop!!! I have searched for it in files, etc., but
it doesn't seem to exist any longer!!? I'm SURE it has
to be on my hard drive SOMEWHERE -- but where, and how do
I find it & access it??

Thanks SO much for any help!!!!!!

:o)

Word has a "AutoSave" feature that is normally set to an
interval of 10-minutes. Also, if Word abruptly exited, the
file might could possibly be "Recovered". This depends on
the version of Word you are using. If you re-open Word
there may be a Recovery option in the TaskPane that shows
files available for restoration.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was using Word 2000, 9.0,
but I don't see any 'recovery' option on the taskbar. Is
there any OTHER way to access files that might be hiding
in my hard drive? I have, actually, had documents close
abruptly that were automatically recovered -- but that
didn't happen this time!!???

Thanks again for any & all help!!!!

What os? Did you make sure you checked all the pertinent options for
your search?...like search sub-folders, etc.
