Disabling Wireless via Group Policy

I'd like to disable the ability of some of my laptop users to use their
wireless NICs for security reasons. The most ideal way of doing this would
be via a group policy.

Out of the box I cannot see anything that disables it completely, only to
define what wireless connection you have. We do not use wireless at all.

Does anybody know of any third party snap-in or template that would allow
this in a Windows 2003 AD?

Hello Matt,

I did some research to find out if we can use group policy from active
directory to disable the wireless nic and it looks like this can not be done
via group policy. I was not able to find a WMI script that would assist here
either.
There is a command line application which you can use to disable the
Wireless NIC. The following kb article has a pointer to the application and
the usage:

It seems there me be some extra polcies availave for wireless configurations
after this patch has been applied.
