Disabling today's date on invoice template

How do you disable the automatic "today's date" on the
invoice template? Everytime I open a saved document that
has a previous date, the automatic date function fills in
the date with today's date. It is causing a nightmare
for accounting people. Thanks so much

I don't think there is a way without knowing the password! At least you can
overtype it, but that might not be much use to you.
