Disabling the Capslock

I have a laptop that I am always hitting the "Caps Lock"
key when I try to hit the "A" key. I remember hearing of
a way to disable a key a couple years ago and can not
remember how it was done nor can I find the steps to do
it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
