Hello,

I tried to disable hibernation in the power savings plan, but after
reboot Vista (RC2) refuses to let me remove the hiberfil.sys.

Thanks for helping

To disable hibernation proceed as follows:

1/ Open a Command prompt

2/ At the command prompt type: powercfg -H off

Sheesh... Is this a backwards step or what? In pre-Vista Windows this was
done via a checkbox in Power properties.

And how do you enable it later should you change your mind?
Its an old PC with very few disk, don't plan to need hibernation ever.
With XP, I was able to get rid of it, Vista does not want, apparently

Exactly my point. MS took something that was easily done in XP and hid it in
some obscure command prompt. Why didn't they just leave it the way it was in
XP?
