disabled rpc need to enable

am trying to fix a goof. in an attempt to work on
correcting error due to the w32.blast.worm I saw
something that said disable the remote procedure call and
so I told my friend to do so but she disable the RPC for
local system basically making it unusable. how can you
enable it. you can't just go to services.msc it won't
let you do anything. I even try a regedit but nothing so
far worked. HELP!!!!

Perform the following:

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Select "Normal Startup", click "apply" and reboot.

From another answer to another of your posts, by MVP Bill James:

You will need to use your XP CD to boot to the Recovery Console, then type
the command:

Enable RPCSS Service_Auto_Start

Then press the Enter key to submit the command. Then type:

exit

and press Return to restart the computer.
