We have XPpro running on school PC's. The Students can enter as a limited
user only - other accounts are password protected. The student account has
no password and is available to all students. Is it possible to disable the
password alltogether, so that someone can't go in and set up their own
password and prevent others from logging on? Is it also possible to prevent
a USer's password from being changed?
Thanks
Michael

Log in to an account that has admin rights, right click my computer, manage,
expand local users and groups, users, right click the student user account,
properties, check: password never expires and user cannot change password.
Close out and log off. Now the limited student account should always stay
with a blank password and will not let anyone but an admin change it.

Thanks
Michael

Yes, there are tick boxes to stop user's changing passwords. See
Computer Manager, Local Users and Groups. Open properties of the user
and apply the necessary changes.
