Disable the little popdown thing......

Hi i was just wondering how do u get rid of the recent searches that popdown
from the box u entered in.........

for example.....u type sumfin in the google search box and it will save and
next time u enter google or any other site it will pop down of that previous
search u entered.......

i remember that u can disable it sumhow but i forgot....does n e 1 remember?
