Disable Software CD-ROM Opening - How To?

My new server-sized case has a great front door, lockable, that I intend to
keep shut unless I have to access the DVD and CD drives. Closed, it cuts
down on noise, protects the DVD/CD drives from unnecesary dust, and keeps
people other than me from opening it (heh). It is the Lian-Li 2100B case
(if you're curious) sporting an Intel E7525 based board.

BUT, since I'm not always the wisest of persons, is there a way to disable
Windows (and all other softwares') ability to "eject the tray" and only make
the tray open/closeable by manually pushing the drive's button?? Thereby
eliminating any possible chance of the tray opening while the case's front
door is shut. I do know that DVD/CD burner software often have a checkbox
that allows me to choose whether or not to eject the disc automatically and
that takes care of those. But, right-clicking on d-drive for instance shows
an "eject" selection...

Any reghacks for that??

Or, is someone going to tell me that if the tray does open and hits the
front door, it won't suffer any damage and just retract back in?

Thanks,
Joe

Tray won't retract but stay. For better security uninstall internal drives
and purchase external ones instead.
