Disable Security - help!

Hi all,

I built a database for my company and set up user-level security. It all
works fine.
However....i have been seconded to another company in another town and the
database has developed a fault.

I tried to get them to email me the database and the workgroup information
file (zipped) in order to access the database and fix it and then send it
back.

The database comes through, but the WIF doesn't and i can't open the
database.

Is there a simple way of sorting this out? They don't really need security
anymore, so I'd be happy to turn off this and not bother with passwords.

Please help.......

The obvious answer is to get the MDW file.

Are the MDB and MDW both in a compressed (zip) file?

It doesn't make sense that one file would come through but the other would
not. I know that Outloook won't allow a raw MDB file as an attachment but a
compressed Folder containg the MDB works fine for most installations. I have
one client that doesn't allow zip files as attachments. So we rename the
..zip file to a .piz file and it works fine after renaming the incoming
attachment back to a .zip

Without the security file you have your work cut out for you!

I hope this helps,
RJ

i had a feeling that would be the option!
i think that the person sending it might not be understanding what i want
her to send.
i need to visit the office and do it myself......
