Disable port

Hi,
I would like to close port 1234 from a server,
when i run netstat -a appear port 1234/tcp \\server
listening
I don't know what is this port and I would like close it.
How can I do this on the server.
server= w2k server

Download and run TCPView from Sysinternals. It will map ports to processes
and if you right click the process, it will give you more helpful
information. It very well could be a needed/legitimate process [which a
firewall will block access to from untruste networks]. Always run a virus
scanner when in doubt. These days it is also worthwhile running a parasite
detection and elimination tool such as SpyBot Search and Destroy. --- Steve
